The Foundation for U.S. Historical Monuments was created: "to facilitate the creation, construction and placement of monuments which portray, honor and commemorate events from our nations history. These monuments to be gifted to worthy and appropriate sites to benefit the community at large, using the permanent language of art to propagate knowledge and awareness of our cultural heritage as a nation."

The Foundation for US Historical Monuments traces it's roots to a Washington DC conference in the spring of 2003. FUSHM is the product a true grass-roots movement to create a new US Special Forces monument. While the Special Forces Monument initiative will be our inaugural project, it became apparent that a need exists for a "umbrella" group to facilitate the bringing-together of vision, artistic talent and interested donors. It was therefore decided to broaden the scope of the foundation to encompass future projects. It is our vision to become a "orchestrating" mechanism by which worthy and historically relevant initiatives can find support, direction and funding.

The Foundation for US Historical Monuments is dedicated fulfilling our mission with integrity, efficiency and transparency in all areas. Our accomplished board of directors is dedicated to staying a lean and efficient body to maximize the portion of every gift dollar raised for it's intended purpose. We are also committed to our role as stewards for every dollar gifted. You and your gift will be treated with the utmost respect. Contributions will only be used for the designated project, and only in appropriate ways.
